I am very concerned about how treacherous, slimy and slippery the Turner area roads and intersections become after being treated. I first noticed it late last winter. I spend a lot of time on the road.
It doesn’t seem to matter how much distance I leave in front, or how slow I go. I guess it’s only God’s plan that keeps me from hitting someone.
Whatever is being used on the roads now turns them into something much worse than driving on wet ice. There is no traction at all. If salt has gotten too expensive, I feel plain old gravel works better than the new stuff.
In any event, I’m going back to studded tires. But then, there is the wear and tear on the roads if everyone uses studded tires. Wouldn’t it be cheaper to find a better mixture to spread on the roads?
