AUBURN – Geraldine M. Brimigion, 82, of 169 East Ave., Lewiston, quietly passed into God’s hands on Friday, Dec. 15, surrounded by her loving family at the Hospice House in Auburn.
Born in Lewiston on Feb. 12, 1924, she was the daughter of Albert and Blanche Turgeon Langelier.
Educated locally, she was married to William “Bill” Brimigion on Sept. 5, 1943.
He passed away on May 5, 1984.
She lived on East Avenue for 42 years, and for many years ran an electrolysis service out of her home.
She created a home and family that embraced enormous love and touched the lives of more than can be counted.
The doors of her home were always open, and those who entered were always met with love and support. She had seven children of her own, but many more considered her their “Mom.”
A member of St. Patrick’s Parish, she enjoyed knitting and needlework, and in her younger days was an avid bowler.
Her survivors include three sons, Thomas and wife, Paula, of Camarillo, Calif., Paul of Lewiston, and David and wife, Sherry, of Lewiston; four daughters, Christina Leahy of Fountain Valley, Calif., Susan Albee of Saco, Paula LeRose of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Mary Brimigion and spouse, Margaret Milroy, of Ottawa, Canada; a brother, Lionel and wife, Claire Langelier, of Maine and Florida; a nephew and godson, John C. Orestis of Portland; seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
She was an amazing woman and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
