LEWISTON – Ernest “Roland” Pelletier, 83, of Boutin Boulevard in Sabattus, died Saturday morning at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

He was born May 8, 1923, in St. Hilaire, New Brunswick, a son of Jean and Imelda Picard Pelletier.

He worked several jobs during his lifetime, retiring as a carpenter in 1972.

He married Pauline Cayo at Our Lady of the Rosary on July 28, 1972.

He was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Sabattus and Seniors Plus. He enjoyed playing bingo and his days at the Clover Manor day care program.

Survivors include his wife of Sabattus; his children, Norman R. Pelletier and his wife, Debbie, of Naples, Fla., Richard F. White Jr. of Turnersville, N.J., and Paula Poulin of Lewiston and her husband, Marcel, stationed in Boston, Mass.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; his brother, Gerard and his wife, Florence, of Lewiston; sisters, Geraldine Beaulieu of Lewiston, Albertine Lavoie of Manchester, Conn., Dora Bosse and her husband, Fernand of Madawaska, Angeline Bosse and her husband, Rene, of Lewiston, Noella Ouellette of Lewiston, Sister Irene Pelletier, FMA, of Edmundston, New Brunswick, and Joan Couturier and her husband, Arsene, of Meriden, Conn.

Ernest was predeceased by two brothers, Benoit and Albert Pelletier.
