Norway physician releases new book

NORWAY – Western Maine Health President and Chief Executive Officer Timothy A. Churchill has announced that Dr. Harry Harper has released a new book, “A Recall of the 50-Year History of Stephens Memorial Hospital.”

Harper introduced his book at a signing in the Harper Conference Center at Stephens Memorial Hospital on Dec. 7.

Harper has been a part of Stephens Memorial Hospital for more than half of his life. As the hospital prepares to celebrate its 50-year anniversary in 2007, Harper was encouraged to write another book. He said this book is a recall history rather than a research history, recording some of his memories of the years of the hospital.

A book signing was held at Books N Things on Main Street on Saturday. The books will also be available, signed, in the Coffee Shop at the hospital.
