BRYANT POND – Albert Loring Roberts, 69, passed away Friday, Dec. 15, at his home in Bryant Pond, after a brief illness.

He was born at his grandparent’s home in Woodstock, the son of Wendall and Alice Felt Roberts on March 21, 1937. He was the middle child in a family of 12. He attended schools in Woodstock and Locke Mills.

He worked at Gilbert Manufacturing in Locke Mills for 42 years, formerly known as Ecko Tibbets, and retired in 1999. He married Peggy Henley in Bethel on June 1, 1957. They had three children and resided in Bryant Pond for 33 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. He loved hiking through the mountains, berry picking and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by two daughters, Nancy Morgan of Bryant Pond and Sherry Wentworth, and her husband, Marc, of Bryant Pond; a son, Michael, and his wife, Holly, of South Paris; three sisters, Elsie Seames, and husband, Peter, of Greenwood, Nonie Cole, and husband, Carlton, of Greenwood and Marilyn Howe, and husband, Wayne, of Bryant Pond; four brothers, Leslie, and wife, Georgena, of Norway, James, and wife, Anne, of Fryeburg, Carl, and friend, Sylvia McNally, of Danville and Duane Roberts of Greenwood; eight grandchildren, Joshua Morgan, Todd Walker, Ridge Latham, Jamie and Kyle Roberts, Mark Huston, Lindsey Roberts and Marcus Wentworth; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; three brothers, Stanley, Philip and Kenneth; and one sister, Florence Seames.
