AUBURN – L. Margaret Kirschner, 94, of Norway, died Monday, Dec. 18, at Hospice House.
She was born in Wakefield, N.H., on June 9, 1912, the daughter of Irving and Rowena M. Wheeler Russell. She lived in Harrison before moving to Norway at the age of 6, and attended Norway schools.
She worked at Norway Shoe Factory before her marriage to Louis A.F. Kirschner Jr. on May 25, 1932. She belonged to the Leigh Valley Baptist Church in Emmons, Pa., but went to the Universalist Church in South Paris when home.
She is survived by her five children, Robert, and wife, Janice, of Augusta, Ga., Clayton, and wife, Lois, of Pennsburg, Pa., Paul, and wife, Pauline, of West Sumner and Barbara Dow, and Margaret Edwards, both of Norway; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Louis Kirschner Jr.; a brother, Clyde Russell; a sister, Ruth Hanscom; and a half-sister, Betty Farwell.
