LEWISTON – Marie R. Churchill, 47, of Minot Avenue, Minot, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Dec. 16, at Central Maine Medical Center.
She was born in Lewiston on Nov. 28, 1959, the daughter of Jean J. and Anita G. Chasse Corriveau. Educated locally, she was a graduate of St. Dominic High School, Class of 1978.
After graduation, she attended Mr. Bernard’s School of Hair Fashion, where she won a number of honorary awards, and became a licensed beautician. She was employed by Wal-Mart for 11 years, and became a department manager, and then went to work at Russell Park Manor.
While at Russell Park, she went back to school and received an activities director license from St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, and for the past two years was employed as the activity director for John F. Murphy Homes in Mechanic Falls. She was devoted to her family, friends and co-workers, always putting others ahead of herself. She loved playing with her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, crafts, wildlife, music and enjoyed playing guitar. She also had a life-long love of animals and often took in stray dogs and cats.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Keith, of Minot; two sons, Gary, and longtime companion, Melaine Ridley, of Lewiston and Patrick of Minot; two daughters, Christina of Auburn and Tiffany of Minot; two sisters, Deborah Corriveau of Topsham and Tina, and husband, Wayne Hart, of Bowdoin; three stepbrothers, Donald Perreault of Everett, Mass., David Perreault of Lewiston and Daniel Perreault of Oxford; a stepsister, Suzanne Blais of Sabattus; and two grandchildren, William and Alexis Churchill.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her stepmother, Jeannette E. Corriveau; a daughter, Jessica; and a grandson, Caden.
