LEWISTON – Police were searching for two men in connection with an armed robbery Monday night.
Sgt. Jeff Parshall said a 50-year-old black male walking in the area of Howe Street between Ash and Walnut streets around 8 p.m. Monday was approached by two black males who threatened him with a handgun.
“The victim handed over an unspecified amount of cash, and the suspects took off,” Parshall said Monday night.
The victim was not harmed in the robbery.
The suspects were described as two black males, one of a lighter complexion and the other darker.
According to Parshall, police believed they had the possible address of one or both of them.
Detective Lee Jones is handling the investigation.
