LEWISTON – Jesus Party staff and children were taught about the attack of Pearl Harbor, which took place 65 years ago, by the ministry’s patriotic mentor, Jerry DerBoghosian.

Children joined in reciting the “Pledge of Allegiance” and singing the “Battle Hymn of the Republic.” Since Sept. 11, 2001, Directors Doug and Sonia Taylor have committed themselves to promoting patriotism, under the direction of DerBoghosian.

Each child and volunteer staff in attendance received a yellow ribbon and toy soldier as a reminder to support and pray for all men and women serving in all branches of the military. The door prize, a toy Army Humvee, was won by Delshawn Harris.
