Sgt. Michael Hickey of New Sharon was awarded the Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal for his exemplary behavior, efficiency and fidelity while serving as a member of the Maine Army National Guard for a four-year period.
Hickey is a member of A Battery, 1-152 Field Artillery in Waterville where he has the duty of ammo team chief. He graduated from Mt. Blue High School and attended the University of Maine at Farmington. Hickey lives with his wife, Kristin, in New Sharon.
