LEWISTON – Cecile A. Lagasse, 91, a resident of Clover Manor in Auburn, died on Dec. 20, at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Berlin, N.H. on Dec. 5, 1915, the daughter of Nelson and Diane (Valliere) Ayotte.

She was educated in Berlin and Dummer schools. She worked for many years in the local shoe shop industry. She more recently worked as a certified nurses aid at Auburn Nursing Home. Her many interests include reading, knitting and spending time with her family.

She is survivd by her son, Richard Lagasse, and his wife, Pauline, of Middleburg, Fla.; daughters, Beverly Allaire, and her husband, Leo, of Turner and Juanita Engert, and her husband, Terry, of Clifton Springs, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her son, Robert Lagasse; sisters, Florence Kelly and Florine Aube; and grandson, WIlliam Lagasse.
