ROOSEVELT, N.Y. (AP) – You scream, I scream, we all scream for … crack cocaine?

The counterman at a Long Island ice cream shop was accused of peddling drugs along with the chocolate and vanilla. Benjamin Fitzgerald, 41, of Roosevelt, was charged with criminal possession and criminal sale of a controlled substance for selling crack, Nassau County police said.

Over the last four weeks, undercover officers made several drug purchases from Fitzgerald at Santiago’s Ice Cream, police said. The owner was unaware of the alternate business police said.

When Fitzgerald was arrested Tuesday, police said they recovered 25 individual plastic bags of drugs.
