Two men and a teen police say started the blaze that destroyed three buildings on Lisbon street were arrested early this morning by the State Fire Marshals Office.

Among those being held are Douglas Hersom, 26 of Knox Street in Lewiston and Timothy Giggey, 27 of Third Street in Auburn.

Giggey and Hersom were being held at the Androscoggin County Jail while the third suspect a 17-year-old boy was being held at the Long Creek junvenile facility in South Portland.

The three were taken into custody early this morning after questioning by police.

A cadre of police and fire investigators including six State Fire Marshals
and three agents from the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms were involved in the investigation, according to a press release issued early today by Stephen McCausland, a spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

Investigators said the three young men had been seen near the fire shortly after it was discovered.
Court appearances by the three men were going to be worked out on Friday and it is likely the trio may not make their first court appearances until early next week, the release stated.
