LEWISTON – F. Lorraine Dresser, 78, of 30 Martha Avenue, died Saturday, Dec. 23, at Central Maine Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was born on Nov. 23, 1928, in Detroit, Mich., to Percy and Rita Dugas Giggey. Lorraine graduated from Edward Little High School and in 1947 married Walter Richard Dresser.

She was employed by Tambrands for 11 years, but spent most of her time working as a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Lorraine was active for many years in the Oxford Homemakers Extension and the Danville and Oxford Grange. She also volunteered her time in the coffee shop at Stephens Memorial Hospital over the years. She enjoyed crocheting, bingo, baking and shopping.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Dresser of Lewiston; daughter, Pati Keene of Lewiston, son, Brad Dresser and his wife, Sandy, of Lisbon, son, Dan Dresser and Donna of Mechanic Falls, son, Ric Dreyser and his wife, Karen,of Turner; sister, Doreen Hoy and her husband, Al, of Michigan, and sister, Carol Carr and her husband, Jim, of Massachusetts; grandchildren, Chip Keene and his wife, Lisa, of Poland, Julie Dresser of Auburn, Missylyn Keene of Charlotte, N.C., Lori Dresser of Lewiston, Chad Keene and his wife, Sue, of Lewiston, Danny Dresser of Greene, Jon Dresser of Lewiston, Kristin Ortiz and her husband, Carlos, of Topsham, and Nick Dresser of Lisbon; and great-grandchildren, Jacob and Justin Marcum of Auburn, Codie and Dakota Keene of Poland, Nathan and Danny Dresser of Lewiston, Brooklynn and Alicia Ortiz of Topsham, and Cole Keene of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by her son, Douglas Dresser; and daughter, Terri Dresser.
