AUBURN – Florianne Annette Rousseau, 83, of Lewiston, passed away on Friday, Dec. 22, at the Androscoggin Home Health Care and Hospice House, Auburn.
Born in Blacklake, Canada, on July 2, 1923, she is the daughter of Joseph and Amanda Cote Binette. She was one of the first hand sewers in the Lewiston/Auburn area. She had started working at Marchant Shoes and then retired at Billing Shoe.
She enjoyed her family in Canada, but mostly was proud of being a grandmother at 80 years old.
She is survived by her daughter Marie and her husband, Marc LeBlanc, and granddaughter, Shauna Marie LeBlanc; a brother, Marcel Binette of Blacklake, Canada; two sisters, Melinna LaRose of Blacklake, Canada, and Emelda Gagne of Blacklake, Canada.
She was predeceased by her parents; four brothers, Wilfred, Aime, Ludger and Euclide; four sisters, Eva, Aldea, Doria and Albertine.
