LEWISTON – Robert Pingree Sr., 50, of Mexico, died Friday, Dec. 22, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
He was born on July 12, 1956, a son of Stanwood and Kathleen (Buck) Pingree. He received his education in Rumford schools and worked as a logger for various woods operations.
He was a NASCAR fan, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a member of the Sons of the American Legion.
He is survived by his father, Stanwood, of Andover; his mother, Kathleen Barker and her husband, Roland, of Mexico; his companion of 10 years, Sharon Theriault of Bryant Pond; two sons, Brian of Rumford Point, and Robert Jr. of Mexico; two daughters, Susan Jamison and her companion, Eric Zatoli, of Rumford, and Ashley Pingree of Bryant Pond; two sisters, Linda Pingree of South Paris, and Tammy Pingree of Dixfield; seven grandchildren, Kayla, Tessa, Dalton, Jaydn and Jazmine Pingree, and Mackenzie and Ethyn Zitoli; a special niece, April Smith and her husband, Jeffrey; and a great-niece, Alayna Pingree; eight half-brothers and -sisters, Roberta, Sherwood, Linwood, Stanwood Jr., Vicky, Allie, Stacey and Becky.
