LEWISTON – Tom and Susan Hayward of Lewiston are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Jamie Hayward, to Melissa Thirer, daughter of Martin and Meg Thirer of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Mr. Hayward is a 2001 graduate of Brown University and is currently employed with IBM in Waltham, Mass.

Ms. Thirer is a 2002 graduate of the University of Florida and a 2006 graduate of Suffolk University Law School in Boston.

A summer 2008 wedding is planned.
