Hillsmen invite local men to join

NORWAY – The Hillsmen Barbershop Chorus will hold its second annual U Can Sing 2 Program at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church. It will include four weeks of voice lessons.

The Hillsmen invite all males from high school age up to senior citizens to join. There will be lesson materials, sheet music and a learning CD of all vocal parts to practice and learn two songs. The charge of $10 is for materials.

The program will include lessons on proper singing technique, learning two songs to sing with the Hillsmen and refreshments. There is no obligation to join.

For more information, call Dr. Tere Porter at 743-0656 and leave a message if no one answers.

The Hillsmen sang Christmas carols at three local senior citizens homes this Christmas season: the Norway Rehabilitation and Living Center, Market Square Health Center and the Maine Veterans’ Home in South Paris. They also sang at the Christmas for Teens Concert at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School on Dec. 1.
