LEWISTON – Janis E. Perreault, 50, of Oxford passed away Tuesday, Dec. 26, at Central Maine Medical Center, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Lewiston, Nov. 5, 1956, the daughter of Helen and the late Harry Starbird Jr of Auburn. She attended Auburn schools and graduated in 1975 from Edward Little High School.

She resided in Oxford with her husband, Daniel of 30 years. She worked at the Sun Journal for many years until she started her life long dream of nurturing young children in her home for 18 years.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Daniel along with their three children, Michelle Taylor, and her husband, Michael, of South Paris, Amy Perreault of Otisfield, and son, Scott Perreault, and longtime companion, Ashley Therrien, of Mechanic Falls; her brother, Chuck Starbird, and fiancée, Colleen Vellaro, of Minot; many nieces and nephews; her grandchildren, Jebidiah, Jarrod and Emilee Taylor of South Paris; and her many loved daycare children; and loving friends.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, Ethal and Ray Mason, Nellie and Harry Starbird, Sr.; her three infant brothers; and her first born son; and her granddaughter, Eryn Taylor.
