LIVERMORE FALLS – Beginning Wednesday, Jan. 17, Treat Memorial Library will begin offering “Food, Fun and Reading,” a free program for children.

On the third Wednesday of each month from 10:15 to 11 a.m., the children will listen as several books are read. They will make a simple craft item to take home with them and have a nutritious snack.

The Busy Fingers knit/crochet group will begin meeting again from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 6, at Treat Memorial Library. The group will meet on the first Saturday of each month.

Anyone who wants to learn to knit or crochet is welcome for one-on-one instruction. Those who would like to learn more or those who want to bring current projects to work on with the group are invited.

The group will plan a charity project, with the items being donated locally. There are some supplies available at the library; however, those attending should bring their own needles, hooks and yarn for a project.

The activities are free. For more information on either group, call 897-3631.
