LEWISTON – A 16-year-old Lewiston teen was stabbed once in the abdomen Monday night after an apparent argument with two young men he’d smoked pot with minutes before, police said.

Lt. Mike McGonagle said they learned of the stabbing on Willow Street at 9 p.m. after the boy’s parents took him to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. He was treated and released.

The teen had been smoking marijuana with two men, described as white in their late teens or early 20s, when an argument ensued and one of them stabbed the boy, McGonagle said.

Police detectives were investigating the stabbing and interviewed witnesses on Tuesday. No charges has been filed by Tuesday night.
