LEWISTON – Louise A. Spencer, 61, of 56 Birch St., Lewiston, went to Heaven on Friday, Dec. 22, at her home, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Farmington, June 7, 1945, to Herbert and Margarite Reed. She worked in area nursing homes, prior to her retirement.

She was a loving mother who cared deeply about her children and her pets. She is watching her kids from Heaven and will be deeply missed. She faced her illness with remarkable courage. She enjoyed country music, her computer, going for walks and helping other people. She always put others first before herself.

She is survived by her son, James Spencer of Lewiston; her daughter, Rita Tracy of Lewiston; her grandchildren; her brother, Henry Harlow of Lewiston; and her nephew, Major Pike of Lewiston.

A special thanks to Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, and also Blaine and Blue Willow Counseling.
