TURNER – Ali Forgues led five Edward Little scorers who reached double figures with 14 points as the Red Eddies cruised to a 64-28 victory over Leavitt in KVAC girls’ basketball action Thursday.

Kirsten Prue and Kelsey Nicolas tallied 12 points apiece and Brittney French and Kayla Cummings 11 each for the Eddies (3-2). Kelsey Baril paced Leavitt (1-5) with seven points.

Mt. Abram 61, Liv. Falls 51

SALEM – Brittany York scored 14 of her game-high 28 points in the fourth quarter to help Mt. Abram pull away from Livermore Falls, 61-51, in MVC girls’ basketball action Thursday.

Kenni Norton added 12 points and Janessa Thomas 11 points for the Roadrunners (4-2). Marjorie DeBrosky led the Andies (4-2) with 21 points, while Caryn Howell added 11 points.

Boys’ basketball
Liv. Falls 35, Mt. Abram 28

LIVERMORE FALLS – Mike Durrell netted 14 points and hauled down 14 rebounds to lead Livermore Falls to a 35-28 victory over Mt. Abram.

Zach Keene and Davis Mercier chipped in for the Andies (3-3) with nine points apiece.

Chris Smith paced the Roadrunners (3-3) with nine points, while Wyatt Johnson added eight.

Telstar 59, Monmouth 53

BETHEL – Ryan Kimball tallied 19 points and Telstar held off a late Monmouth charge for a 59-53 win.

Telstar (2-4) led by 20 at one point, but Monmouth hit five 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to make things close. Nate Armstrong finished with 15 points, Dylan Reny 13 points and Ronnie Hobson 12 to lead the Mustangs (1-4). James Kimball added 11 points and Max Meader nine points for the Rebels.
