MECHANIC FALLS – Tyrian Masonic Lodge 73 held its annual installation of officers on Dec. 16 at the Masonic Building. Timothy S. Stevens of Harrison was installed as worshipful master and will lead the lodge in the coming year. The term “worshipful” is an old English term meaning one being worthy of respect.

In addition, the following elected and appointed officers were also installed: Senior warden, Mark Stevens; junior warden, Wayne Cotterly; treasurer, Jeffery Breton; secretary, Eugene Chandler; chaplain, Tom Nelson; marshal, Robert Smith; senior deacon, Brian Carrier; junior deacon, Scott Bowie; senior steward, Basil Chadbourne Jr.; tyler, Joseph Lemm. Jeffery Martin will be installed as junior steward at a later date.

The installation ceremony was conducted by George Pulkkinen as installing master; Fred Campbell, installing marshal; and Robert McKinley, installing chaplain.
