LEWISTON – Shirley V. O’Leary, 71, of Lewiston passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 27, at Montello Manor with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Woodland, Feb. 19, 1935, the daughter of Emerson and Dorothy (Ferson) Noddin.
She was agraduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1953.
On Sept. 5, 1953, she married Daniel P. O’Leary of Lewiston.
She worked as an administrative secretary many years, first at Bates College, Job Corps in Poland Spring and Montello Elementary school.
She loved solving crossword puzzles, reading, being with her family, taking care of her cat, “Blackie” and a variety of wild birds that she could name that fed from her bird feeders in her yard.
She enjoyed genealogy and loved researching her family tree. She was especially proud to wear her Scottish colors when visiting the Highland Games.
Survivors include two loving daughters, Pamela O’Leary of Greene and Sharon Morissette, and her husband, Paul, of Lewiston; one brother, Lee Noddin of Auburn; and a grandson, Kevin Morissette, of Lewiston who she was always very proud of.
She was predeceased by her parents; and her husband, Daniel P. O’Leary.
