AUBURN – Russell N. McIntosh, 72, passed away on Dec. 25 at Clover Manor.

He was born on Feb. 5, 1935, to Clarence and Madeline McIntosh. He married Alta Dixon on Oct. 11, 1968.

Russ worked for many years at Libbey Mill and then L.L. Bean, from which he retired in 1995.

Russ enjoyed going to the Maine Highland Games and the outdoors.

He will be sadly missed by a son, William; a daughter, Amy; grandchildren, Aly, Birann, Aspen and Scotty; and longtime friend Paul Jones.

He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Dana; and his wife, Alta, of 42 years.
