AUBURN – Theresa O. Fitzherbert, 89, formerly of 213 Russell St., Lewiston, died Friday, Dec. 29, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.
She was born at St. Agathe on Jan. 28, 1917, the daughter of Euthrope and Anna Bouchard Ouellette. She was married June 18, 1934, to Harold A. Fitzherbert in Caribou. He predeceased her on Sept. 4, 1990.
She moved here from Caribou in 1947, and was employed at the Continental Mill and area shoe factories prior to her retirement. She enjoyed traveling, making crafts and camping.
She is survived by two daughters, Dolores Keene of Auburn and Pat Jackson of Poland; a son, Richard Fitzherbert of Florida; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Norma Devoe and husband, Gilman, of Lewiston, Evelyn Curless and husband, Phil, of Lisbon, Shirley Rizzolo and husband, Michael, of Lewiston, and Alice Rodrigue of Wales; two brothers, Leo Ouellette and wife, Jeannette, and Joseph Ouellette and wife, Betty, all of Lewiston.
She was predeceased by an infant son, Richard; a daughter, Helen Laroche; a granddaughter, Linda Laroche; three brothers, Roger, Raynald and Gilbert Ouellette; and a sister, Priscilla Hathaway.
Her family wishes to thank the staff at the Hospice House for their wonderful care and for helping to make Theresa’s journey easier for her family.
