AUBURN – Yvette C. Chapman, 68, of Auburn, died Friday, Dec. 29, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.
She was born in Lewiston on April 8, 1938, the daughter of Phillip and Bertha Blanchette Breton. She was educated in Lewiston schools and was married to William E. Chapman Sr., who predeceased her on April 12, 1999.
Yvette was a homemaker and member of Holy Cross Parish, club Jacques-Cartier and the Sabattus Senior Citizens. She enjoyed sewing, traveling and dancing, and especially spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Diane Bourgoin and her significant other, Kirk Mosher, of Auburn; two stepdaughters, Jean Tommseli of Virginia and Brenda Vinnette and husband, Devere, of Lewiston; a stepson, William E. Chapman Jr. of Lewiston; three grandsons, Gregg Norton and his wife, Joanna, Jaybe Bourgoin and significant other, Jessie Sawyer, and Ryan Bourgoin and significant other, Jenna Fleury; six step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, Saige and Jaylei Bourgoin, Noah Norton and Ryan Bourgoin Jr.; a brother, Edward Breton and his wife, Irene, of Sabattus; and many nieces and nephews.
