MECHANIC FALLS – Announcement is made of the engagement of Rachel L. Herrick and Jacob T. Verrill, both of Mechanic Falls.

Miss Herrick is the daughter of David and Wendy Herrick of Otisfield and Pamela Hancock of Auburn. She is a graduate of Oxford Hills High School and is attending Central Maine Community College for a degree in early childhood education. She is employed as an office clerk at Ed Thayer Inc. in Oxford.

Mr. Verrill is the son of Tom and Lorrie Verrill of Mechanic Falls. He is a 1998 graduate of Edward Little High School and received a degree in fire science and electronics from Southern Maine Technical College. He is employed at the Auburn Fire Department and Mechanic Falls Water Department.

The wedding will be held at 6 p.m. on May 19 at Lost Valley Lodge in Auburn.
