RUMFORD – Announcement is made of the engagement of Desiree Violette and Ryan Giroux, both of Rumford.

Miss Violette is the daughter of Joanne and Tom Gaudet of Rumford and David Violette of Turner. She is a 2003 graduate of Mountain Valley High School and plans to graduate from Green Mountain College in Vermont in 2007.

Mr. Giroux is the son of Debbie and Louis Giroux of Rumford. He is a 2002 graduate of Mountain Valley High School and is employed at Jaroto’s in Rumford.

A June 9 wedding and reception is planned at the Black Mountain Lodge.
