Sunday service

NORWAY – The 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, service at the First Universalist Church will be led by Bob Wolf, retired UU minister. Child care is provided. The choir will be led by the music director, Heather Pierson. Diet group

BRIDGTON – Bridgton Hospital will be the host site for a 12-week Weight Watchers group at 3:30 p.m. starting on Monday, Jan. 8, in the cafeteria conference room. The cost for the program is $12 a week. The payment can also be paid in full and credit cards and checks are accepted. Bridge results

NORWAY – The Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met Dec. 29 in the Fare Share Commons, Main Street. when an eight-player individual game was played.

Finishing first in Flight A in a three-way tie were Dick Allen, Bev Pelletier and Pete Cummings. Finishing first in Flight B was Bev Pelletier; second, Bev Dolan.

There will be no game on Friday, Jan. 5. The next game will be Friday, Jan. 12, same time and place.

All bridge players are invited, and a partner is guaranteed.

Blood drive

PARIS – Maine Medical Center will hold a blood drive from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, at the American Legion Hall, Church Street, South Paris. Contact Marilyn at 743-5723 for an appointment. Walk-ins will be welcome. Donors, who will be entered to win free gas or groceries, should bring a photo ID.
