FARMINGTON – Henry VIII arrived here at the Franklin County Animal Shelter on Aug. 11, 2006. Henry is a “leader of the band,” said shelter staff. He does everything in a big way.

They said he not only like to be in the middle of things, he likes to lead the parade. He’s an adventurous cat, but he still makes plenty of time to show his affectionate side. They said he’s demonstrative type. Want a cat who’s brimming with confidence? That’s him.

Henry VIII has a lowered adoption fee of $35, just like all the other black cats at the shelter because the flavor of the month is “Licorice.”

New dogs at the shelter include a female shepherd mix found Livermore, a female Lab mix found in Jay, three Lab mixes found in Rangeley, Lab-pit mix found in New Sharon and a smooth-coated Collie found in Industry.

For more information on adoption, call the shelter at 778-2638.
