RUMFORD – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Eva Povelite on Wednesday, Jan. 3, at St. Athanasius-St. John Catholic Church. The Rev. Angelo LeVasseur was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist, with Thea Dunn as the soloist. Music selections were Ave Maria, Wind Beneath My Wings, and Old Rugged Cross. Readings were done by Tom Puiia and Katie Puiia. Poems were read by Linda Puiia and Pam Beauchesne. Pallbearers were Mike Kenney, Tim Kenney, Scott Kenney, Irving Povelite Jr., Tom Puiia and Mike Beauchesne. A reception followed in the parish hall. Services were under the care of S.G. Thibault Funeral Home.
