Family night
NEWRY – The Black Diamond Family entertainment series will present Nickelodeon’s Family Festival Nights from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, and Wednesday, Jan. 10, in the Grand Ballroom of the Grand Summit Resort Hotel, Sunday River Ski Resort. A juggling workshop with Trickster Fox will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Admission is free. For more information, call 824-3000.
Story hour
MEXICO – Mexico Public Library’s preschool story and craft hour at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, will have a “Birthday” theme. Stories to be read include “Happy Birthday, Moon” by Frank Asch, “Too Much Birthday” by Stan and Jan Berenstain, “Arthur’s Birthday” by Marc Brown and “Tell Me Again about the Night I was Born” by Jaime Lee Curtis. Party hats will be the craft for the day.
