Bottle drive

FARMINGTON – The Western Mountain Flyers Youth Hockey team will have a bottle drive starting at 9 a.m. Saturday in the following towns: Jay Livermore, Farmington and Wilton. For more information, contact Steve Maki at 645-5058.

Sunday service

FARMINGTON – The community is invited to join the magi and worship the newborn king at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church, Academy Street. “Follow that Star” will be the title of Pastor Susan Crane’s meditation from the communion table. All are welcome.

Ministry supper

PHILLIPS – A public supper featuring homemade baked beans will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at the Phillips Elementary School. The menu will also include hot dogs, rolls, coleslaw, beverage and gingerbread. Cost is adults, $6; children under 12, $4.

Community lunch

FARMINGTON – Old South First Congregational Church will serve its monthly free community luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13. The menu will include meat loaf, mashed potato, gravy, mixed vegetables, rolls and butter and a mystery dessert.

Delivery service will be available in the Farmington area. Call the church office at 778-0424 during the week or the church kitchen at 778-4438 on the morning of the luncheon if a meal needs to be delivered.
