RUMFORD – A Mass of Christian Burial for Donald MacFarlane was celebrated on Thursday, Jan. 4, at St. Athanasius-St. John Catholic Church. The Rev. Angelo LeVasseur was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were On Eagles Wings, Be Not Afraid, Ave Maria and This is my Father’s World. Denise Hurd was the bagpiper. She played Amazing Grace and Going Home. Readings were done by Richard Gould and John Coveney. The eulogy was given by his daughter Jane-Sarah MacFarlane. Pallbearers were Kenny McCarthy, Stuart Cameron, Gene McCarthy, Eric DeOssie, Vinny DeFazio and Wayne Lambert. A reception followed in the parish hall. Services were under the care of S.G. Thibault Funeral Home.
