LEWISTON – Young girls and their dads can order their tickets for the Public Theatre’s 11th annual Father/Daughter Valentine Ball. Forms for the ball are available at the business office, online at the www.thepublictheatre.org or at the Public Theatre beginning Monday, Jan. 8, during box office hours for “The Old Settler.”

Reservation forms will also be distributed through the Lewiston and Auburn schools beginning Tuesday, Jan. 2; however as timely distribution of the flyers is something the theater has no control over, staff recommends picking up a form as early as possible.

For those who have never attended, the Father/Daughter Valentine Ball is a special fundraising event created 11 years ago by The Public Theatre. Each year, fathers and their daughters, ages 4 to 12, are treated to a special evening of dancing and dressing up.

Throughout the evening, cookies and punch are served, music is provided by a DJ, and each girl receives a souvenir to take home.

This year’s Valentine Ball will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at the Ramada Inn. Tickets for one father and one daughter are $35, with each additional daughter at a cost of $10. Wrist corsages for the girls are also available.

Every year tickets to the ball sell out early. Reservation forms are processed in the order they are received, and the earlier a reservation form is received, the higher the chances will be of getting in before it sells out. Any payments received after the ball is sold out will be returned.
