BRUNSWICK – Dolores Celine Fournier, 67, of Parkview Circle died Sunday, Jan. 7, at her home with her family by her side, after a two year courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Brunswick on Oct. 20, 1939, the daughter of Raymond and Gabrielle Menard Favreau.

She attended St. John’s School and was a 1958 graduate of Brunswick High School.

On October 20, 1958 she married Joseph Fournier.

She worked at Benoits, Value House/Service Merchandise and then at Bath Iron Works as an accounts payable clerk. In 1990, Mr. and Mrs. Fournier moved to Coconut Creek, Fla., where she worked as a technician in a Winne Dixie Pharmacy until retiring in 2004 due to ill health.

In May of 2004, she and her husband returned to Brunswick.

She enjoyed reading and knitting. She was a member of St. John’s the Baptist Church and was a member of the Brunswick Police Officers’ Wives Group.

Survivors include her husband; and her father, both of Brunswick; three daughters, Terry Fournier and her partner, Cathy Laprise, of Sabattus; Karen Baer and her husband, Rick, of Dunbarton, N.H., and Laurie Ann Fournier of Norfolk, Va.; a son, Tom Fournier and his wife, Holly, of Bowdoin; two brothers, Ben Favreau and his wife, Kathy, of West Bath and Bert Favreau and his wife, Anna, of Topsham; a sister, Doris Herrick and her husband, Greg, of Poland; and four grandchildren, Marcie and Seth Fournier, and Courtney and Alex Baer.

She was predeceased by her mother, Gabrielle Favreau, in February of 1999.
