Grange guest

AUBURN – Members of Danville Junction Grange will meet at the hall on Thursday, Jan. 11, for a 7 p.m. meeting. Guest will be Maine State Deputy Jim Meserve, present, for the purpose of instruction. A winter program will be presented by the lecturer. Refreshments will be served at the close of the meeting. All members and guests are welcome.

Lodge degree

WALES – Webster Lodge 164, AF and AM, will hold a special communication at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at the Wales Grange and Masonic Hall, 322 Centre Road. The evening will feature past masters working the Master Mason’s Degree. A 6:30 p.m. supper will precede the work. Members and all Master Masons are invited.

Travelers to meet

AUBURN – Members of Twin City Council 160, United Commercial Travelers of America and Canada, will hold a dinner meeting at 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at the Village Inn Restaurant. All members and guests are welcome.

Club supper

SABATTUS – The Jacques Cartier Club held a New Year’s party on Dec. 30 for members and guests. A buffet dinner was served, and dancing followed until midnight.

On Saturday, Jan. 13, there will be a baked bean and casserole supper at 5 p.m. and dancing will follow until 9:30 p.m. for $6.

The event will be held at the clubhouse on Wales Road.

Housing exercise

LITCHFIELD – The Litchfield Seniors Advisory Committee Housing Subcommittee will host a housing design exercise at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at the Litchfield Sportsmen’s Club, Hallowell Road, to help the Housing Committee develop concepts for the project.

The purpose is to identify community wishes for a senior housing project; allow for community creativity; identify common ideas and themes; learn about the design process; and learn about an open space design/neighborhood design process.

The community is invited. Coffee and doughnuts will be served in the morning with a light lunch provided at noon.
