LEWISTON – Bertha G. Beaucage, 89, formerly of 27 Reservoir Ave., Lewiston, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 9, at the Russell Park Nursing Home, where she had been a resident since 1998.

She was born in Lewiston on Jan. 31, 1917, the daughter of Charles and Merilda Morin Roy. She was educated in local schools, and on Thanksgiving Day, 1939, was married to Fernand R. Beaucage, who passed away on March 21, 1991.

A member of Holy Family Parish, she was active for many years in the Dames de Sainte Anne. She was a loving and devoted mother, and was the “good Samaritan” of her neighborhood, always willing to help out her friends and neighbors.

Survivors include three sons, Raymond, and wife, Rosario, of Turner, Lucien, and wife, Louise, of Lisbon and Maurice of Lewiston; three sisters, Alice Houle of Lewiston, Cecile Lavoie of La Mirada, Calif. and Aurore, and husband, Leo Lacasse, of Auburn; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, George.
