Genealogy meeting
FARMINGTON – The Sandy River Valley Chapter of Maine Genealogical Society will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at the Farmington Public Library. Chanda Luker will present a program that explains the research procedures she used to find her father. Anyone with an interest in genealogy is welcome.
DAR speaker
FARMINGTON – Laura Donna Hoffman, state regent of Daughters of the American Revolution, will speak on her project, the officers’ quarters at Fort Knox, at a Colonial Daughters Chapter meeting to be held at noon Tuesday, Jan. 23, at the Granary. A vote will be taken for a donation to the Farmington Historical Society North Church Restoration Project. The public is welcome to attend any DAR meeting. For reservations, call Ann Kendall at 778-4882, by Tuesday, Jan. 16.
