AUBURN – A celebration of life service for Jean Lajoie was held Tuesday from the Memorial Chapel of Dillingham & Son with Chaplain Kathleen O’Wril presiding. Words of remembrance were shared by Jean’s son, Michael Lajoie, her granddaughter, Amanda Lajoie, her grandson, Dylan Lajoie, as well as other spontaneous speakers that shared their memories of Jean. Also during the service, “In the Garden” by Elvis Presley was played as well as Jean’s favorite album, by Josh Groban that concluded the service. In attendance were delegations from the Red Hat Society and from Jean’s class of 1965 at Central Maine General School of Nursing. After the service all in attendance were invited to greet the Lajoie family with their own personal condolence before going to a reception of fellowship at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hal Gibbs in Greene. A private burial will be held later in the spring. Arrangements by Dillingham & Son Memorial Chapel & Tribute Center.
