OTISFIELD – A large tree branch went through the sunroof of a sport utility vehicle and struck the driver in the head, according to State Trooper Daniel J. Hanson.

Hanson said the vehicle was speeding when the driver lost control and rolled it over. The branch came in through the roof.

Hanson said the driver suffered some tissue damage, but nothing life-threatening. The driver was airlifted to a hospital from Oxford Airport.

The trooper did not have a positive identification on the driver at the time of the accident, and state police officials did not return calls for comment Tuesday night.
