NORWAY – The Children’s Department at Norway Memorial Library will offer another program in the “Board Games and Beyond!” series from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, for children in grades one through six. It is an early-release day for students in SAD 17.

This month’s focus will be games of strategy. Volunteers will teach students to play chess or develop their chess skills. They can also try other strategy games, including Monopoly, Scrabble, Mancala and the Amazing Labyrinth.

Children may bring a favorite game to share with others if they like and are encouraged to bring a snack. Parents are welcome to attend.

Space is limited, so parents must preregister by calling the Norway Library Children’s Department at 743-5308 by Wednesday, Jan. 24. The library is at 258 Main St.
