BRIDGTON – The Greater Bridgton Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce is planning a forum to explore a new chamber insurance program for small businesses.

The forum will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at the Bridgton Town Offices, Lake Region TV studio area. The forum will explain the new insurance program that began Jan. 1 and is being offered to all Maine small businesses (50 employees or less). The only requirement is to belong to a local chamber of commerce.

The State Chamber, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, a local broker and a Dirigo Insurance representative will all be on hand. There will be time for questions, and information will be available to take home. The program will be filmed for TV as well.

Chamber members Dave Barker, Linda Hertell and Charlene Allen planned the forum, a quarterly offering of the chamber.

The forum is open to the public. Contact the chamber at the Information Center at 647-3472 for details. The chamber serves 13 Western Maine towns.
