LEWISTON – Members of the Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club will, at noon Thursday, Jan. 18, hear a presentation by Kim Wettlaufer, executive director of the Trinity Jubilee Center.

Wettlaufer will speak about the center’s interaction and impact on the community surrounding Kennedy Park.

Located at the corner of Bates and Spruce streets on the edge of Kennedy Park, the Trinity Jubilee Center began as a local soup kitchen and is evolving into a neighborhood day center, open seven days a week. In addition, the center serves as a resource for neighbors, helping them to connect with needed resources, whatever they may be.

Wettlaufer is a 1980 graduate of Bates College where he was named All American in cross country and track. He is a partner in the ownership of 10 Subway restaurants in the region.

The club holds its weekly meetings at the Ramada Inn. Anyone wishing to hear the speaker or to learn more about Rotary is welcome. Weekly buffet luncheons are $8 a person. Access the club’s Web site at www.lewistonauburnrotary.org for more information.
