Lodge to install
CANTON – Whitney Lodge 167, AF and AM, will hold a special meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, for the purpose of installing new officers. The meeting will be preceded by a supper at 6:30. All Masons, friends and family are welcome.
Class meeting
MEXICO – The Stephens High School Class of 1943 will meet at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, at the Chicken Coop. For more information, call 364-7144.
Society meeting
MEXICO – The Mexico Historical Society will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, starting with a hot dish supper. The meeting will be held at the Calvin Lyons meeting room at the town hall.
Dr. Albert Aniel will be the guest speaker. Elections will be held and nominations will be open before the elections.
The public is welcome to join the group and nominations will be accepted. People should call Millicent Mann at 364-4378 before the meeting on the subject.
Archery practice
OXFORD – Archery practice will be held at 6 p.m. Fridays, Jan. 19 through March, at the Lake Thompson Fish and Game clubhouse, Paine Road, East Oxford. The public is welcome. For more information, call Ed at 539-4713.
