Tame the pipe
Bethel – Attempt to qualify for regionals in the Jeep Terrain Park Challenge and become one of the top 24 athletes from six regional qualifiers. The event will benefit the Heuga Center for multiple sclerosis and is a place for amateur skiers and snowboarders to showcase their best moves in the Rocking Chair Terrain Park.

Snowball weekend
Greater Bridgton Lakes – A weekend of dogsled races and skijoring at Five Field Farms as well as a variety show and a wine-and-cheese reception make up the Mushers Bowl Winter Carnival. Many events will take place over the weekend, so check out the schedule. Proceeds to benefit the Harvest Hills Animal Shelter.

Colorful meeting
Portland – Meet the artist, Ann Legg, who is behind “The Power of Color,” a display that presents realistic and abstract works in oil, watercolor, pastel, and glass construction at her meet-and-greet.
