BETHEL – Approximately 76 Telstar Regional High School juniors will be excused from school during the week of March 6 to 9 to participate in the annual career exploration program.

The program enables students to contact, coordinate and job shadow or work with employers of SAD 44, Oxford County and other work sites.

Career exploration projects assess accomplishment of aspects of the Maine Learning Results. In the past, many students have also found careers that interest them and influence their decisions about future courses, colleges and training programs.

In the next several weeks students will contact businesses or individuals to arrange their career exploration experiences. Those who know of a career project that students could do or those who have questions about the program, should call the guidance office at 824-2136, ext. 310.

SAD 44 and the Telstar Regional High School staff said they are grateful for area employers, businesses and individuals who take the time, interest and patience to help high school students have successful experiences in the community.
