LEWISTON – Lewiston Adult Education will conduct a variety of fitness classes throughout the winter and spring. Registrations are being accepted, but spaces are limited. If interested, register online at www.lewistonadulted.org or by calling 795-4141.

“A Flexible Body, a Flexible Life”: Learn techniques that will keep the body flexible and supple. The focus will be on lengthening muscle groups and developing an at-home plan that will enhance class time.

The instructor will be Bette Swett-Thibeault. The class will start Wednesday, Feb. 7, for eight weeks.

“Reversing Aging and Gravity”: Join NASA participant Glenn Stover in exploring how to reactivate rejuvenation based on discoveries of staying fit during space travel. Use methods that will promote fitness anytime, anywhere. The class will begin Monday, March 5, and will last for six weeks.

“Yoga”: The class will introduce participants to fundamental positions, breathing and relaxation techniques that will help improve flexibility, relieve tension and manage stress. The class will be taught by Krishan Verma. It will begin Tuesday, March 6, and last for six weeks.

Other health and fitness classes will include “Introduction to Homeopathy,” “Understanding and Managing Arthritis,” “Food Allergies,” tai chi, “Relax and Renew” and “Get Fit II.”
